Trading Bot

This project aims to help analyse a wide range of financial indicators and then provide alerts when possible forex position entries arise. This application gets its data from Trading212's RESTful API however there are plans to incorporate other sources of information such as Yahoo Finance.

There are a range of improvements I would like to make to this project, for example: I would like to implement automated trade execution to minimise the amount of interaction needed to execute trades. Additionally this would improve the accuracy of the application as there would be reduced delay in between a signal being generated and a trade being executed; I would like to add multiple sources of financial prices so that the users trading platform could be used; I would like to add a web interface so that users can control the algorithm's parameters and forex pairs without access to the command line.

My key responsibilities at Patchworks are to resolve business critical, time-sensitive issues within agreed SLAs by reviewing a large range of information and reaching logical conclusions, to implement changes that accurately meet client-specified requirements, and to review applications and implement changes to ensure their operation remains reliable.

These key responsibilities have enabled me to further develop my ability to systematically analyse multiple sources of information, within a team environment, thus allowing effective solutions to be implemented.

Working here exposes me to high-pressure situations regularly. A recent example of this is that I am part of the team which monitors a system that handled over 33 million transactions over the most recent Black Friday / Cyber Monday period.

This role has allowed me to explore a vast array of modern e-commerce, WMS and ERP platforms such as Shopify(both through the RESTful and GraphQL API), PeopleVox and NetSuite.
